Julaton currently holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and the International Boxing Association (IBA) female super bantamweight titles.

A 3rd title would make her the first Filipina to become an undisputed champion.

Julaton currently has a professional record of 6-1-1 while Brown is a veteran with a 16-4-3 record.

The 29-year-old Fil-Am is no stranger in facing boxing veterans.

She won her first title against Kelsey Jeffries, who was a veteran with 40 wins at the time they fought.

Two-time world champion Ana "The Hurricane" Julaton is scheduled to fight the Canadian boxing icon Lisa "Bad News" Brown for the WBA Junior Featherweight title. The event will going to take place at the Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada on March 27, 2010. It's a home town fight for the Canadian.

Canada’s Brown (16-4-3) has always wanted the WBA belt and so does Northern California’s Julaton (6-1-1). A victory for Julaton will unify three of the championship belts and make her the undisputed champion at the Super Bantamweight class, becoming history as the ever Filipna to complete such a task.

"It's definitely harder," said Brown of fighting in front of hometown fans. "I like being the underdog with everybody cheering against me."

Julaton won the the IBA Super Bantamweight world title last September against Kelsey Jeffries, and most recently the WBO Super Bantamweight world title last December against knockout artist Donna Biggers. The experienced Brown (16-4-3) has won numerous international titles such as IFBA and WIBA Super Bantamweight Titles including Melissa Hernandez, Alicia Ashley and Sharon Anyos.

erik morales vs jose alfaro posterWatch Erik Morales vs Jose Alfaro live on PPV this coming March 27, 2010. The Champion Returns welcomed Erik Morales for his return in the ring and he will be facing the former WBA lightweight titlist Jose Alfaro (23-5, 20 KO’s). This event will take place in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

Morales was said to retire after his lose to David Diaz by a 12 round decision last August 2007. That was his fourth consecutive lose and that he should gave up with boxing for good. It is unknown what has caused Morales to want to make a comeback after all this time and he is even after Manny Pacquiao.

In an interview at The Record, Morales says that he’ll retire from boxing again if he lose to Alfaro on the 27th. Morales might want to get his retirement speech ready, because there’s a good chance that he’ll be beaten by Alfaro. The fight will be taking place at 142 instead of lightweight, a move made because it would likely be incredibly hard for Morales to make lightweight after all this time. Dont miss this great comeback fight. Watch Erik Morales vs Jose Alfaro Live.

This event is a WBC Intercontinental Welterweight Championship and is presented by Integrated Sports Media and KO Entertainment fight of Erik “El Terrible” Morales vs Jose “Jicaras” Alfaro.

Clottey won't last 12 rounds vs Pacquiao???

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

MANILA, Philippines – Even if Ghana’s Joshua Clottey is bigger than 7-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, the Filipino’s conditioning coach thinks the Ghanaian will not have enough strength to go the distance in his March 13 bout.

“I don't think Clottey will last 12 rounds. I think Clottey might just stop because he will get hit too much. I think Clottey will get tired of getting hit,” Alex Ariza told Brad Cooney of 8countnews.com.

“If Manny moves the way he's been moving in sparring, I just don't see Clottey being able to take the beating that he is going to get.”

Ariza, however, mentioned that he is concerned about the beating that Pacquiao will get from Clottey at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

He shared that he and Pacquiao focused “a little more” on strength training.

“Clottey is strong so that's my biggest concern… The physical punishment Manny might take is my biggest concern. Clottey is so much bigger, but we will have Manny ready for whatever comes his way,” stated Ariza.

Pacquiao’s conditioning coach went on to divulge on the status of their training camp in Los Angeles, California.

“I think we are right on schedule, maybe even a little ahead of it. He looks great, the weight is great, the conditioning is great.”

The Filipino boxing superstar trains at the Wild Card Gym which is owned by his coach, Freddie Roach.

Ariza even commented on Pacquiao’s LA training: “I am not a big fan of LA training because of all of the people here. I thought we had a good camp in the Philippines last fight. Manny trained well over there, but he looks good over here too.”

Pacquiao will defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title against Clottey, a former International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight champion. Their match headlines the pay-per-view event entitled “The Event.”
