Vic Darchinyan (33-2-1, 27 KO) will put his belt on the line to battle Rodrigo Guerrero (13-1-1, 9 KO), a fringe contender who has fought in a 12-round match just once in his career, in the main event of Showtime fight at Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
The event will also feature a 12-round, IBO lightweight bout between Austrailia's fast-rising, undefeated Lenny Zappavigna (22-0, 15 KOs) and Fernando Angulo (22-6, 14 KOs) of Venezuela. A former world title challenger, Angulo lost a WBA lightweight championship bid to Juan Diaz in November of 2006, ending a 13-fight winning streak.
